THE SPECULATOR OF INVISIBLE FLESH EYES – for INTERNET 2021
Directed by the choreographer and dancer João Andreazzi, the work rescues the principle of the idea of the “nomadic body”, artistic concern of Andreazzi that follows a research initiated 21 years ago, whose focus was the extinct favela do Gato (today a housing complex in the Park) do Gato) and the Krukutu and Jaraguá villages, of Guarani culture, places revisited by the Company in 2014 in order to observe the changes that occurred in relation to 1999, the year of the first visit. There was also the prospect of making a new visit in 2020/21, but it was prevented by the pandemic moment
On April 2, Friday, 9 pm, Cia Corpos Nômades will premiere the show on Facebook at João Caetano Theater
The Invisible Meat Speculator – Internet Version # 01, online adaptation of the show created in 2016 that addresses the feeling of suffocation in large cities by real estate speculation and misuse / distribution of the soil. This project was carried out with the support of the Municipal Program for the Promotion of Dance for the City of São Paulo – Municipal Secretary of Culture and will be broadcast by five public theaters throughout its season. It also had, with the support of Proac Expresso LAB – edict 48, Prize for Artistic History in Dance-2020, through the Federal Government, Ministry of tourism, Special Secretariat for Culture, Government of São Paulo, Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy and the Proac LAB.
The text O Despovoador, by Samuel Beckett, written in the late 1970s, is an important provocation for the show and connects with other inspirational and fundamental sources, such as the places visited by the Company in 1999 and revisited in 2014/2015: the extinct one Favela do Gato, in the Center-North region of the city of São Paulo, and the villages of the Guarani Indians in the Northwest (Pico do Jaraguá) and the South (Krukutu and Tenondé-porã).
These references, added to the thoughts of Deleuze and Guattari on Capitalism and Schizophrenia, gave, in a strange and disturbing way, the final tones of dramaturgy to the choreographies, sprouting from this junction the so-called “choreodramaturgrafias” (term created by João Andreazzi to designate the junctions of vocal and body movements, texts, projections, soundtrack and scenic elements with the choreographies). Today, due to the long pandemic moment, cinematographic art has been included in the expression, resulting in the term “cinecoreodramaturgigrafia”.
