Schedule 1 – (12 and 11/20/2021 – Friday and Saturday at midnight)
“Barrier Gestures” is a series of three video dances that show different aspects of the gesture in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic. There are three states at the same time organized in gestural dramaturgies of lists: “Sustaining the lack”, “Barring in gestures” and “Do not forget the gestures of welcome”. Whether by stopping, by repetition or by imagination, the series “Gestos Barreiras” is a bet on the sensoriality of the audiovisual medium as a way to create sensitive and possible experiences. Project carried out with the support of Proac Expresso Aldir Blanc 2020.

“Para Não Dançar em Segredo” evokes the problematics of a construction of hegemonic masculinity in the Sertão, due to the fact that it has designed ways of being/being a man in that place, as well as in the language of dance itself. The scene is an invitation to celebrate masculinities in dance, a desire to make manifest the immanent plurality of male bodies, especially those who inhabit the Sertão and who carry within them the contradictions and socio-historical assemblages that, for a long time, perpetrated in this territory hetero-cis-normative logics.

Artist Sara Marchezini’s debut film tells, through an expressive language with autobiographical traits, the links between the ancestral wild woman and contemporary witchcraft. The work mixes documentary, dance, poetic, performing arts and audiovisual languages to expose the long struggle of women against oppression and the exploitation of their bodies over the last 400 years. RELEASE Observing the body-space/space-body relationship; Body: Territory in Flow appears in mid-2019. The impermanent flows that cross our territories-bodies intensify in 2020. Then appears: “Hidden”, inspired by female figures from her trajectory and with ideas based on authors Silvia Federici, Clarissa Pinkola Estés, Jeffrey B. Russell and Brooks Alexander.

“Sol Interior” is a contemporary dance solo born during the pandemic that covers and discussed our relationship with loneliness and its interiors, our affectivity and the impregnated state of death. Its source of inspiration is the work of artist Feliciano Centurión, a sun for that moment of closure.
Inside a semi-abandoned mansion, with just a few pieces of furniture, we follow the trajectory and transformation of a man, who gradually introduces this environment to viewers as one who introduces himself and in this body-house-clothing hybridism, this man reveals and becomes transforming from the costumes into different figures. As a movement that mixes circus and dance, Sol Interior brings a reflection, how to generate narratives from the (re)appropriation and (re)signification of places and everyday objects? Issues that came to light with social isolation. With this, it is intended to approach and discuss about our relationship with solitude and its interiors, our affectivity and the state of impregnation of death.

“There is nothing here” brings the territory of non-place, the portrait of a plunge into the space of dreams, shifting and nomadic. A tribute to the emotional archive of memories and meanings lived or invented, establishing a relationship that is strengthened beyond physical borders. A desire for belonging that adds to the physical environment beyond its concrete boundaries, based on the search for human relationships, for the next memories to come. A now that is gone without ever existing. Title: There is nothing here
